There were over 15,000 runners this year and it was a great day for a run. We had perfect weather being overcast and in the upper 40′s and a course that went through the heart of the city. Congratulations to our runners and what an experience.

It was perfect weather for running, this morning in WaHi. Congrats team on the turnout! Here are few more stats courtesy of NYRR–

It was a humid day (81%), but the race was a good one. It is a bummer that so much of our club has moved or is on vacation this week, because the turnout for the double points weekend wasn’t spectacular. But we will take what we can get. For the women, Reagan and Anna were holding down the fort with some solid times–

Jake and Sam showed up to represent for the NYRC men–

There are now only 5 club points races remaining this year (including the NYC Marathon). Hope to see a bit better turnout at the remaining races. It would be especially good to get a solid group together for the Norway Day Half Marathon, to honor the late Grete Waitz (the race is named Grete’s great gallop, after her) since she passed away earlier this year. Here is a link to register. Here are a few more stats from today’s races–

Way to go team! We had a better than expected turn out at the Bk Half. What is especially awesome is the fact that we had 3 running couples representing in this race. Kudos to the Astles, Hardies and the Kownatzki’s. We had respectable times from everyone involved.

Next team race is ladies only: Mini 10k
